I get inland anxiety, that is, I seem to have a fear of living too far away from the ocean. I love the idea of visiting landlocked places, but living there gives me pause. I don’t know what it is or why it is. Maybe it’s the whispering souls of my seafaring ancestors. Maybe it’s the deep sense of longing to travel to the unknown.
