Gummo Land 37

Gummo Land is a Polaroid series inspired by the cult classic film Gummo. This series celebrates and embraces the awkward and weird while acknowledging and exploring my own weirdness. As an artist, this project is a step outside of my comfort zone as I search for the ultimate freedom, the freedom from self.

Physical fine art photo prints are 20×24 inches in size. They are printed using Lightjet printing technology. That means the enlarged images are exposed and developed on Ilford black and white photo paper, a traditional silver halide photo paper creating brilliant and true black and white prints. The prints are protected by a museum quality matte acrylic and mounted on an aluminum backing with a thin white protective frame making these photos ready to hang as soon as they arrive. The ultra low profile frame ensures that the work maintains the look of an enlarged Polaroid. Each piece is a limited edition of 5 and comes signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Each print is made to order, that’s why the are on backorder  — plan on allowing a few weeks for your artwork to arrive. Once I place the order it is printed in Germany and sent to my studio in Maine where I sign and number it en verso and include the certificate of authenticity.
